DBMS career Academy is an Institute where academic and vocational course are imparted to boys, girls, men and women. This institute is accredited to the National institute of open Schooling, New Delhi, NIOS is an autonomous Institute established by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Human Resources and Development. All examinations are conducted by National Open School twice a year, in April and October the required certificates are issued by them.

• Women's Polytechnic-DBMS- Launched in November 1989, to impart vocational training and skills in various fields to the women of Jamshedpur, to train women in basic skills and higher skills in selected trades and professions.

• Women's Career Academy or WCA- DBMS- In the year 1992, DBMS got accreditation from National Open School - Delhi to fulfill yet another need of the student community. The students who could not cope up with the tension and stress of the ICSE and CBSE high schools and were dropped at class VII, got an opportunity to do their Xth and Xllth here. The policy of NOS "Learn at your own speed but learn well" made them self confident and successful in college and competitive examinations. NOS or National Open School is now known as NIOS- National Institute of Open Schooling and WCA- DBMS as DBMS CAREER ACADEMY Since 1996.
• In 2006 July DBMS Career Academy got its affiliation from the famous Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Manasagangotri- Mysore for Information Technology courses- BSc(IT), M.Sc(IT), M.Tech. to benefit women and men who can graduate while having a career, business or house responsibility. No age bar, no time limit, no financial burden of travelling out of Jamshedpur. Admissions are open throughout the year.
• In 2008 November DCA got affiliation from Madurai Kamaraj University was received for a number of Graduation Courses- B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, BCA, BBA and Post Graduation Courses- MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MBA and P.G Diploma Courses. Thus DBMS Career Academy is determined and committed to provide our students all potential resources, facilities, amenities and favorable environment to enable them to develop themselves in fullest possible manner into well-educated and creative citizens of India.
• in the year 1991, 'DBMS BAKING CELL' was started, at first to make the career academy financially feasible but later it turned into a productive unit. 'Bake and Take' DBMS bread is well-Known and relished by the people of Jamshedpur. The Yummy pastries, cakes, patties, sandwich, masala buns, pizzas, kulchas and soup sticks are welcomed by all.
